Mission Team News:

Burundi team:

This team, whose deployment will be in June, will consist of dental and medical practitioners who will be serving in the Capital, Bujumbura, and in Nyembuye a remote village community near Rutana in the Matana Province.

Uganda Team:

Mission International will be sending a number of teams to different parts of the developing world during 2017.  The team, travelling in July & August, will be involved in evangelism, schools, medical and project work.  A recent coffee morning has raised £800 for the team, more information here:

Haiti team:

Mission International’s Haiti project is now well underway.   The land has been purchased and the demolition work is being done which will allow for the foundations to be set in the near future.   The team will help encourage the church and will report on the progress of the building work.

India & Myanmar:

Hugh Henderson, Mission International’s CEO has been invited to visit India and Myanmar to view the partner projects there and to help support and encourage church leaders.

Living below the line!


Peter ‘lived below the line’ (lived on £1.00 per day) for a week and raised £1,137.80 for Mission International’s Kenya Projects. The picture shows Kayole township where Peter spent some time as part of a Mission International team.  Here he met some of the children for whom he lived below the line.

Wedding in Uganda:

Recently, during November 2015, Hugh Henderson, Mission International’s CEO, travelled to Uganda to attend the wedding of Nelson & Florence Kabanda.  Nelson was the first person Hugh had rescued in 1996 after a very serious road accident.  After a long time in hospital Nelson went to school then university having some sponsorship and is now a senior accountant with a large multi-national in Kampala.

All of us at Mission International wish the happy couple well for their future life together.

Container arrives in Burundi!


Thank you to everyone who helped source, store, load, pack and transport the container, to those who donated items and to those who prayed for its safe arrival.  We thank God for all that is in the container, every item will bring releif to people in great need.

Mission Conference – March 14th 2015

The event is for Christians in Scotland (and further afield if they would like to attend) to inspire us in a world where mission is often unwelcome.
Schedule for the day – revised from original
  • 09.30 – Registration and coffee
  • 10.00 – Welcome, worship & Prayer
  • 10.30 – Session 1 – Dick Dowsett
  • 11.30 – Seminars 1
  • 12.30 – Lunch
  • 13.30 – Seminars 2
  • 14.30 – Session 2 – Dick Dowsett
  • 15.30 – Coffee
  • 16.00 – Panel discussion
  • 17.00 – Worship prayer and close
Dick is likely to be involved during the day too, and has agreed to stay on to speak at the Sunday services in St Peter’s too!
The two sessions where Dick will preach he has given the titles as follows:
1. Appropriate Mission in the 21st Century:
changes needed to be both Biblical and relevant.
2. Sacrificial Mission in the 21st Century: 
making disciples in a less welcoming world.
The cost is likely to be £10 and £5 for concessions
